Kanye West apologized to Jay-Z and expressed regret over his previous attacks on the rapper's children, only to follow up with a remark about Beyoncé that sparked new reactions. In a post on X, the 47-year-old West wrote, "I'm sorry, Jay Z," explaining that he felt let down by many people in the music industry. Shortly after, he posted a vulgar question about Jay-Z's sex life with his wife Beyoncé. Critics quickly pointed out this contradiction, calling it another example of West's unpredictable behavior. The apology follows the recent controversy where West publicly questioned the intellectual abilities of the couple's 7-year-old twins. Although he initially deleted the post, he later reposted it, claiming he only removed it to avoid being banned by X, not because he regretted the comment. 'I LOVE JAY Z AND FEEL BAD,' said West in the post that has since spread. In a conversation with DJ Akademiks, he reaffirmed his right to freedom of speech, saying he would rather 'give up his life' than lose his right to freedom of speech. West and Jay-Z, who once had a close friendship and released the acclaimed album 'Watch the Throne' in 2011, have drifted apart in recent years. West, diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016, has become known in recent years for his erratic presence on social media and unpredictable public statements.
