The British actor Hugh Grant was very upset after a "creepy" encounter with an immigration officer at Heathrow Airport with his wife and children. The "Notting Hill" actor and his family were stopped by the immigration officer, who asked the children if he and his wife were their parents. Grant, who has three children aged 12, nine, and seven with his wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein, described the situation as "intrusive, offensive, and creepy". Grant turned to the social media platform X, where he shared information about the unpleasant situation. "Just came through Heathrow with wife and kids. We all have the same last name (Grant) in our passports. The immigration officer engages my kids in conversation and then whispers to them, 'Are these your mother and father?' Intrusive, offensive, and creepy," wrote Grant. A Heathrow spokesperson explained that immigration officers are employed by the British Home Office, not the airport. A UK government website states that if you are traveling with a minor and do not appear to be a parent, "they may ask you a few questions to establish your relationship with the child". Grant, who married Eberstein in 2018, is the father of two more children, Tabitha and Felix, from his previous marriage to Tinglan Hong. The 64-year-old, best known for his comedic and romantic roles, recently starred in the horror film 'Heretic' from 2024, in which he portrayed a dark, villainous character against expectations.
