From April 03 - 06, the Alpine ski racers gather for the season finale, specifically for the International German Alpine Ski Championships 2025 in Axamer Lizum (AUT). On the last day, the champions in Slalom were crowned. Top favorite Lena Dürr is eliminated in the women's category and does not place. At the 2023 World Championships in Méribel, she won the bronze medal, but at the International German Alpine Ski Championships, she straddles a few gates before the finish line after the intermediate time. The title is surprisingly secured by 21-year-old Emma Wieser ahead of World Cup racers Jessica Hilzinger (+0.26) and Roni Remme (+0.75). In the men's category, top favorite Linus Straßer lives up to his role and wins the title with a lead of 95 hundredths of a second over Mario Gramshammer from Austria. Just in February, Straßer won the bronze medal at the World Championship Slalom in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. Third place goes to Fabian Himmelsbach (+1.06) ahead of Anton Tremmel (+1.29), who thus take second and third place in the German championship.
