Seagulls: Sonderburg on the Flensburg Fjord allows hunters to shoot them

Quelle: SAT.1 NORDDEUTSCHLAND (Glomex)

If you want to eat something on the coast, you always have to keep an eye on the sky so that seagulls don't suddenly snatch your food away. Many tourist resorts try to scare the birds away with acoustic systems or colorful pennants. In the Danish town of Sonderburg on the Flensburg Fjord, people are so annoyed by the screeching that they are now going one step further. A hunter has now been hired there to regulate the population. Until April 15, Svend Aage Juhler will occasionally shoot a seagull from the buildings around the town hall. The hope in Sonderburg is that the concept will bear fruit and that things will be quieter this summer.
