House of Photography in Deichtorhallen: Refurbishment takes longer

The Deichtorhallen at the main railway station are an important cultural venue in Hamburg for contemporary art and photography. The city has invested around 50 million euros in the renovation of the northern hall for international art. The southern hall, the House of Photography, has been under renovation for three years. A tour of the building site took place on Thursday. The refurbishment is taking longer and will be more expensive than planned.
