Sand piles: Timmendorfer Strand prepares for new vacation season

The communities on the North Sea and Baltic Sea are preparing for the upcoming beach season. However, the beach is missing in many places because the storm surge last October removed a lot of sand. In many places it is being replenished, including Timmendorfer Strand. There, around seven kilometers of sandy beach are being restored on 18 hectares.
